James Forder,

HSL

Biography

James Forder is a Higher Scientist working at the Health and Safety Laboratory (HSL) in Buxton, Derbyshire. He is experienced in the analysis of a wide range of organic and inorganic species in the environmental and occupational sectors with a special interest in the provision of technical support for Health and Safety Executive incident investigations and workplace exposure surveys. James is the lead researcher at HSL for Diesel Exhaust Particulate measurement and has recently published a paper on the subject in the Annals of Occupational Hygiene, entitled Simply Scan—Optical Methods for Elemental Carbon Measurement in Diesel Exhaust Particulate. He holds a MChem (Hons) degree in Chemistry from the University of St. Andrews and is a member of the Royal Society of Chemistry.
