Alex is the chair of our IOHA London 2015 conference committee and is very excited about holding such a prestigious conference in London. A past chair of the BOHS conference committee and current member of the BOHS Council Alex hopes that his experience and links with the society and the profession will be a great asset in making sure this conference meets and goes beyond everyone’s expectations.

By day Alex works for Rolls Royce.  More recently Alex has just left a role with Tata Steel Europe in their Group Environment department as their REACH and Chemicals policy Manager. He is a hygienist at heart and uses his wide skills set to support all the business areas of the company with regards what is essentially product stewardship and environment and human health policy discussions. His key work interests consist of policy/strategy work, product stewardship and its need for occupational hygiene, toxic substances, noise, asbestos management and the wider leadership aspects needed for our profession. By night, Alex…. well that would be telling! You will have to ask him yourself!

Alex hails from the northern climbs of the UK and is a proud Yorkshire man. He has a young family who he enjoys spending lots of time with.

Alex on IOHA “I believe that the theme of IOHA 2015 building on occupational hygiene together, is what we need to do and I look forward to working with you all to achieve this in April 2015″.
